This guy's blog is great. He sounds like he would make a great representative for King County. And he claims to be only an amateur economist! He's no amateur with genius reasoning like this:
The higher the pay,
The fewer the jobs,
The more the crime.
The lower the pay,
The more the jobs,
The lower the crime.
And the more we buy.

On parks:
I, Goodspaceguy, as a user of the parks, occasionally pick-up trash in the parks. I carry plastic bags in my van for this purpose.
