Ugandawood

Trailer for the Ugandan film industry's latest hit, Who Killed Captain Alex.  I bet it was the helicopter.  That thing is bad-ass.

Whale Wars

I've been warning people for years about whales.  They aren't our cuddly laid-back allies in the animal kingdom that Greenpeace wants you to believe.  They are out for total domination of the world's oceans.  I think we all know what happens then, those flippers start sprouting toes and before we can scream "orca" they are kicking down the doors to our homes!

From the Christian Science Monitor:
Cape Town, South Africa

A yachter in South Africa says her trip off the country's picturesque southwestern coast was wrecked by an unexpected whack from a whale.
Paloma Werner said Wednesday the whale breached just feet from their boat in Cape Town's waters on Sunday. It whacked the yacht, snapping the mast in two.

I think it's clear we need to start rooting for the Japs on Whale Wars.

North Texas Chupacabra on the Move

North Texas is currently enduring a chupacabra epidemic the likes of which have not been seen since the late 1990's. Thankfully Channel 8 (WFAA) is on the story:

I enjoyed the logical leap from "found a hairless dog/coyote/other common as dirt 4-legged canine" to "chupacabra". It's that kind of outside-the-box thinking that will enable us to overcome this invasion from the south.
