What Happened to Pi Day?

I can't believe the authors of this blog failed to mention Pi Day (March 14). I know at least one of the people who posts here fancies himself a Pi expert, often referring to himself as "Mr. Pi" or "Pi Face" and attracting females by reciting Pi to many digits. I guess the fraud has been revealed.

All right wise guy... I'll have you know that Pi day was well marked out here in my corner of the cosmos. In fact, at precisely 3:14 and 15 seconds on 3/14, I exchanged e-mails with my pal, St2evn, who, back in 1986, went in halves with me on a book which had Pi to 10,000 digits. From that jumping off point, we optimistically began calculating how to use this knowledge to meet girls. Ironically, it was only by hiding this fact that actually afforded us some success in this department. Transcendent numbers are a definitely a double-edged sword.

I intended to share this palindrome in honor of Pi day:

I prefer pi

And to quote Glynn Cardy:
" Love inspires the unexpected, the irrational. Love is illogical and disorderly. Like pi, it doesn’t fit with neat and tidy calculations and neat and tidy lives."
