Things in das basement?

The library has a few books for children donated by the local German Language Association. This particular page has the theme of "things in the basement". Is it just me, or is there something hanging on the wall that looks a lot like a human bone? The bear with the maniacal grin and lab coat is creepy enough, but a human bone? Isn't dat veerd? Posted by Picasa

That is creepy. Is that supposed to be Mengele's basement, or something? And who's idea was it to let German's write children's books anyway?

You have a good point about the Germans and their Children's stories. The origional 1790's version of the Grimm's brothers is still big over there despite it's brutality. Here in the US, things have been toned down quite a bit. "Snow White and the Seven Undesirables" only goes so far now-a-days.
