Can Yoshirap Survive?
Some of our many readers may be unaware of the behind-the-scenes scandal that has rocked Yoshirap to its foundation. It all started with my "Math Wizardry" posting. Jackie soon posted the solution to the puzzle. Unfortunately, I did not approve her comment the instant it was made, so she apparently ratted me out to Jason. Jason then sent me an email essentially accusing me of being a "psuedo-tyrant who loves only that which you can control." I responded by accusing him of hating his sister. As a consequence, I have been relieved of my moderating duties and must now drink all beer with a wedge of orange. I hope we can move past this unfortunate episode and keep the dream of Yoshimitsu alive. There are a lot of things I'd like to say right now, but I can't say them better than the Hoff:

Half-life (Portals)
Thanks to Monstevious for introducing me to this video about the game Half-life Portals. This is a 50M file, but it's worth the effort. Interesting physics. Very creative. What do you think?
Flaming Whip
Another perfect addition to the "K-man Home Project" list. A flaming whip. Devo would have been proud.

Death dodged again. Vacation complete.
I have endured another vacation to perhaps one of the most dangerous places anyone can think of - Oregon. Sure, there is no sales tax and they pump your gas for you, but don't be fooled, this tranquil beach is a time bomb.

There are lots of these signs posted. I like the character bounding effortlessly up the cliff. I imagine that's how I would do it. I'm told that once the sirens go off, we are 15 minutes from nearly certain death. None of this sissy 5 hour warning that the Indonesians had...well, kinda had.

Note the evacuation "safe" site is essentially a cemetery. Let's not sugar-coat it.

The good news is that the weather was ideal- about 65-70F. I like it when the map of the US is a blazing inferno of 90s and 100s and where I am located is the very definition of pleasant. In conclusion, if you were going to risk being crushed by a 100ft wall of water anyway, check out Cannon Beach Oregon.

Not the Hoff, but Oddly Topical
Ninja love. I always felt that Yoshimitsu was looking for that special someone on whom to unleash the door knocker.
