Very nice way to celebrate the 4th. I actually got to meet Freidman, or uncle Milty as I like to call him. Some intimate little thing at SMU, I think. Things were fuzzy back then. My point is, if anyone's brain should be preserved by nanobots it's that guy's.
Yes, we did get to meet Uncle Milty at an SMU function. Two points I would like like to make about that presentation.
1. The state of our business schools. At any one time, there are ~900 students enrolled in all of the MBA programs at SMU.(full-time, part-time, and executive) Only 4 from the MBA programs showed up to see the father of economic theory (5 if you count Jason)
2. How to P.O. the great Milton. In the Q&A session, I asked Uncle Milty what books or theories influenced his current view of economics. Apparently I inadvertantly insulted the great man, by implying anyone could arrive at his theories by reading the right books. Oh well, important note to self.

Wow, I didn't know Salma had a father of such prominence. Here's to steak, potatoes, and the contributions of Salma's dad!
