Death dodged again. Vacation complete.

I have endured another vacation to perhaps one of the most dangerous places anyone can think of - Oregon. Sure, there is no sales tax and they pump your gas for you, but don't be fooled, this tranquil beach is a time bomb.


There are lots of these signs posted. I like the character bounding effortlessly up the cliff. I imagine that's how I would do it. I'm told that once the sirens go off, we are 15 minutes from nearly certain death. None of this sissy 5 hour warning that the Indonesians had...well, kinda had.

Note the evacuation "safe" site is essentially a cemetery. Let's not sugar-coat it.
The good news is that the weather was ideal- about 65-70F. I like it when the map of the US is a blazing inferno of 90s and 100s and where I am located is the very definition of pleasant.
